Bhartiya Kala Sangam organises folk dance festival 2019


Jammu, April 22 (Scoop News)-Bhartiya Kala Sangam, (Regd.) Jammu a premier organisation working in the field for promotion of art culture and languages since its inception 1980.Today a folk dance festival 2019 on 22.4.2019 with support of MINISTRY OF CULTURE, GOVT OF INDIA was organized at KL Saihgal Hall Jammu.

On the occasion Sh. N.K Shil Regional Director Indian Council for cultural relations & regional passport officer was CHIEF GUEST Sh. R. S Chib Former Minister J&K presided over the function. Sh. Ramesh Chander Kotwal SSP Armed, Sh. Sushil Kumar Attri, Deputy Director Social Welfare Department, Sh. Ranbireshwar Singh Jamwal, Asstt. Director Social Welfare Department Smt. Shashi Thakur Deputy Controller Civil Defense graced as special guests.

Earlier, Sh. Sohail Kazmi Senior Journalist, Chief Patron Bhartiya Kala Sangam, while welcoming the dignitaries and audience, gave a grief details about the functioning of Bhartiya Kala Sangam (Regd.) Jammu since 1980 during which numerous cultural events have been organized, especially involving budding artists and providing its forum in order to groom the new talents. He said that Bhartiya Kala Sangam (Regd.) has been providing platform of the Sangam to new budding artists, especially belonging to far flung areas and many more artists have been groomed to independently perform at various functions and entertain public.

Sh. Sushil Kumar Attri Deputy Director Social Welfare Department lauded the efforts of the Bhartiya Kala Sangam for presenting such a rich Folk Dance Festival of the Jammu Region of the state.

Sh. Ramesh Singh Chib Director Bhartiya Kala Sangam Jammu gave a brief account of cultural activities and other literary programme done during the span of 38 years with its beginning in the year 1980, further said, adding that the club has extended its activities behind the barrier of Jammu to rural and far flung areas of Jammu Division involving young and budding artists to expose their talent on the platform provided by Bhartiya Kala Sangam Jammu.

The event was ably conducted by Rajni Sharma, renowned anchor of Radio and TV and vote of thanks presented by Sh. T.R. Sharma (Retd.) KAS Chairman Bhartiya Kala Sangam (Regd.) Jammu
