| NC pays glowing tributes to Bodhraj Bali on his 16th death anniversary | |
Jammu, April 21 (Scoop News)- - National Conference leaders on Sunday paid glowing tributes to former minister and leader Mr Bodh Raj Bali on his 16th death anniversary, with speakers highlighting his immense contribution in the development and progress of Jammu and Kashmir.
“A leader of par excellence, having high degree of political and administrative acumen, Mr Bali has left an indelible mark on the political horizon of the State”, Additional General Secretary Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamal said at a function held at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan here this morning.
Dr Kamal recalled the role played by the late leader in strengthening National Conference in the Jammu region and working for the betterment of the people.
Paying his tribute to the late leader, former minister and senior leader Mr Ajay Kumar Sadhotra described Mr Bali as a gentleman politician, who worked tirelessly for strengthening the bonds of amity and tranquility besides welfare of the people in different capacities in the government, irrespective of religion, caste and creed.
“Mr Bodh Raj Bali will always be remembered for his political acumen and administrative capabilities”, Mr Sadhotra added.
Dwelling upon the political career of Mr Bali, State Secretary National Conference Mr Rattan Lal Gupta said that the late leader worked tirelessly for the upliftment of poor and dow-trodden in different capacities.
Mr Gupta said that contribution of Mr Bali in strengthening National Conference at the grass roots level in Jamm Province remains high point of his political career. “Mr Bali worked with both Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah and Dr Farooq Abdullah and galvanized the party at all levels’, he added
Senior leaders and former MLC’s Th Kashmira Singh, Mr Vijay Bakaya and Sheikh Bashir highlighted different facets of Mr Bali’s political career and said his self-less work will continue to inspire the younger cadre.
Provincial Vice Presidents Mrs Vijay Laxmi Dutta and Mr Anil Dhar, Provincial Secretary Mr Pradeep Bali, Co-Chairman NC OBC Cell Mr Abdul Gani Teli, Co-Chairman NC OBC Cell Mr Vijay Lochan besides Mr Waris Gill, Mr Pyare Lal, Col. Retd Rashid Mohammed, Mr Mohinder Gupta, Mrs Rashida Begum and Mrs. Veena Oberoi also paid tributes to Mr Bodh Raj Bali.
