| SOG Jammu recovered huge quantity of Banned Drugs | | Jammu , March 17 (Scoop News)- Continuing its Crusade against Drugs, SOG Jammu achieved a major success by recovering 1930 bottles of Codeine phosphate and 4220 Capsules of Proxivan plus (Banned drug) at Naka was laid at Rajbagh under the jurisdiction of Police Station Rajbagh of district Kathua this afternoon.
Reports revealed that SOG Jammu laid a special naka at Rajbagh with the sleuths of PS Rajbagh. A truck bearing registration No. JK13C 8351 was made to stop which was coming from Punjab and cops detained two narcotic smugglers who were smuggling the above contraband in the truck.
The consignment was concealed in truck which was otherwise loaded with pesticides. The detained persons were identified as Gian Singh s/o Mangal Singh r/o Rajwalta Billawar Kathua and Mohan lal s/o Bodhraj r/o Danjashar Billawar. A case under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered at PS Rajbagh.
The whole exercise was closely monitored by SSP SOG Jammu Sh. Sandeep Mehta- JKPS and was carried out under the supervision of SSP Kathua Sh.Sridhar Patil -IPS.
Mr. Mehta has urged the civil society to strengthen the hands of Police to weed out this menace by providing the timely and actionable inputs about the movement and activities of these drug smugglers/peddlers in their respective areas to Police.
