Jammu,January 18 (Scoop News)-Justice Responding to Mehbooba Mufti’s tweet on Rasana rape and murder case, Brig Anil Gupta, State Spokesperson of Bharatiya Janata Party, has labelled her as the biggest ‘communal face’ of the state surpassing the known diehard hate mongers. She has once again shed crocodile tears in an attempt to re-enact her supposed ‘master stroke’ to divide Jammu communally in order to garner Muslim votes. In January 2018, Mehbooba through her cronies tried her best to convert a law and order problem into an imaginarysinister ploy to scare away the Gujjar and Bakerwal community from Hindu dominated areas. J&K assembly witnessed an uproar on 18 January 2018 wherein without much evidence, the entire episode was given a communal touch by the Valley based legislators and Mehbooba supported them.
The events thereafter unfolded like a well- planned script. The PDP ministers visited the area and gave provoking speeches targeting the majority community. A fraud young Gujjar leader claiming to be an advocate and social activist was unleashed by Mehbooba to spread venom against the local Hindus and JK Police was given a free hand to torture and coerce the locals. “A narrative was built to tarnish the image and pride of local Dogras by accusing them as rapists and communal minded. A genuine demand of the locals seeking CBI enquiry into the episode was portrayed to the outside world as the support of rapists by the Jammu Dogras. The entire Kashmir media ganged up with the Lutyen’s media to project the people of Jammu as cruel, communal and pro-rapists,” stated Brig Gupta.
While entire Jammu condemned the gruesome incident and demanded the harshest punishment to the perpetrators of the heinous act, Mehbooba and her cronies accused them of supporting the rapists. Despite Supreme Court directive to not to disclose the identity of the victim, the name of the girl was deliberately leaked to arouse communal passions across the country. The reference to BJP law makers in her recent tweet is not only politically but communally motivated as well, rued Brig Gupta.
While Mehbooba and her cronies were rejoicing at the success of their smart move and eagerly awaiting for a vertical divide between the Hindus and the Muslims, investigative journalism by a few local journalists and some from the capital sensed a foul play and sounded the alarm wells. The journalists came out with clinching evidence to puncture the hyped narrative and exposed the plot of communal divide spread by the vested interests, claimed Brig Gupta.
“The Rasana tweet suits her communal agenda but it remains to be seen if she would tweet a single word to condemn the horrific Holocaust Day of 19 January 1990 when the indigenous people of Kashmir, the Kashmiri Pandits, were forced to leave their home and hearth as part of a well- planned genocide and ethnic cleansing by her co-religionists and gun-toting militants whom she claims to be sons of the soil,” exclaimed Brig Gupta. Mehboooba has been thoroughly exposed through her own utterances and deeds, she can no more hide her communal face and play the victimhood card.
