| CEC JTN inspects SMM Hospital | | Discussed Master Plan Project of SNM Hospital Leh |
Leh ,Janary 15 (Scoop News)- The Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Leh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal along with Executive Councilor for Health Tsering Sandup today inspected SNM Hospital Leh and took stock of the facilities being provided to the patients.
CEC JTN inspected various units of the Hospital like Causality Ward, newly established Dialysis Unit, upcoming VIP/Paid Ward and interacted with the patients and took feedbacks from patients about the facilities being provided to them. Expressing satisfaction over the functioning and facilities of hospital, CEC JTN highly appreciated all the medical staff headed by MS Hospital Leh for their dedicated hard work and hope that this model hospital will touch new heights in coming days.
Earlier, a meeting was held to speed up the Master Plan Project of SNM Hospital Leh which was initiated by late CEC Dr. Sonam Dawa Lonpo and discussed various features of the master plan including construction of commercial shops along the highway of Hospital to make SNM Hospital self sustainable in future, parking facility, expansion of SNM Hospital land and other infrastructure facilities.
While reviewing the progress of various schemes of health sector like Ayushman Bharat, CEC JTN directed EC Health and CMO, Leh to work on draft proposal about the shortcomings in various schemes based on census 2011 due to which number of deserving beneficiaries are unable to avail such schemes. The draft proposal will be submitted to GoI by Council so that such loopholes would be addressed in future. Added CEC JTN.
EC Health Tsering Sandup talking about the upcoming projects of SNM Hospital said that as per India Public Health Standard guidelines, the 300 bedded district hospital will need about 186 manpower out of which 87 posts are already sanctioned and remaining 100 additional posts are required to be fill-up .
Later, CEC also inspected the progress work of Helipad at SNM hospital and directed Xen. Construction to prepare a report based on which Council will explore remaining required funds for its earliest completion. While inspecting the Solar Power Plant of the SNM Hospital which was used to give power backup for Operation Theater (OT) earlier and at present not in use, CEC directed Project Director LREDA to fix the problem within a week time. CEC also inspected the Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakaram (JSSK) counter of hospital which is providing free medicines for pregnant woman and infants and directed Dy. MS SNM Leh to ensure its maximum outreach and benefit.
CEC also inspected fair prize shop Bami Duniya Co-operative Chemist behind SNM hospital and inquired about availability of medicines.
