| District Legal Services Authority, Health Department hold legal awareness cum medical camp | |
Jammu,Janary 14 (Scoop News)- To ensure that opportunities of securing justice and health care benefits are not denied to any citizen by reason of economic or any other disability, District Legal Services Authority in collaboration with Health Department today held a Legal Awareness cum Medical Camp.
The camp was held under the supervision of Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Naushad Ahmad Khan to aware the workers of the Un-Organized sector about their Legal Rights, Health Care Rights, Maternity benefits,
The participants were educated about various social welfare schemes of the Central and State Government such as Education for their Children, Health Care Assistance in the event of Death, Marriage, Accident and Maternity Benefits.
Addressing the participants, Secretary urged all the participating workers to get them registered with concerned authorities so that the benefits of the government schemes as applicable can be made available to them. He issued on spot directions to the accompanying Para Legal Volunteers in assisting the workers in getting them registered by filling and processing application form for registrations.
Secretary DLSA also interacted with workers and took feedback regarding issues pertaining to their grievances such as wages, social securities, working and living conditions.
Further, workers with health issues were examined by a team of doctors deputed by the Health Department and were given medicines also.
