People-oriented schemes brought country out of mess created by Congress: Sethi
Jammu, December 18 (Scoop News)-Asking party cadres to gear up for coming general elections as well as state assembly polls, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) general secretary Yudhvir Sethi today said it's because of Prime Minister's relentless efforts and union government's people oriented scheme that country today is in the brink of seeing massive development. Congress has completely spoiled the nation and no institution was working as per set norms.
Speaking at a meeting of party workers organised by Jammu rural district president Omi Khajuria at Raipur Domana, Yudhvir Sethi said recent conviction of Congress leader Sajjan Kumar in 1984 genocide and subsequent announcement of punishment speaks of the fact that Congress had always been dividing people in the name of religion, killing innocents and looting country of its resources.
Former MLA Bali Bhagat, Bharat Bhushan, Anand Kishore, Vijay Shastri, Suraj Singh Bhau and Rajinder Singh chib were also present on the occasion. Yudhvir Sethi said time has come to gear up for polls and best way is to make a beginning from booth level meetings by making them aware of achievements of our governments.
He said four years of Modi government has set India on a transformational path to rapid development at a time when democracy and freedom are being challenged in many other countries. Major achievements in the four years of Modi government, he added are robust foreign policy where several nations are now working in unison with India and policy that not only isolated Pakistan but also shamed it for supporting terrorism.
The BJP general secretary said BJP today is a pan-India party with clean and transparent governments in several states. Introduction of GST, Aadhar card UIDAI project - 12-Digit Unique Identification Number given to Indian residents, National Health Protection Scheme (NHPS) and Swaach Bharat Abhiyan have all transformed India in a big way.
