| NC OBC Cell seeks ex-gratia, compensation to Salhar fire- sufferers | | Jammu, December 17 (Scoop News)-National Conference OBC Cell has sought adequate relief for the fire sufferers of New Plot, Gandi Morh Salhar in R. S Pura Jammu on immediate basis keeping in view the current winter chill.
During his visit to the area, along with other leaders of the OBC Cell, its Co-Chairperson Mr Abdul Gani Teli urged the Governor’s Administration to have the survey conducted with regard to losses in the fire incident so that the sufferers are adequately compensated. On the immediate basis, they require roofs to save themselves from the winter chill, he said adding that this aspect should be taken care of by the revenue authorities.
Mr Teli expressed solidarity with the fire sufferers and said that National Conference stands by them at this hour of need. He expressed anguish over perishing of the cattle in the fire incident and demanded adequate compensation for the owners. He said for some the cattle were the only sources of sustenance and hoped that the administration will urgently redress the problems faced by the sufferers.
