| Boniyar football premium league commences | |
Srinagar, October 14 (Scoop News)-Participation in organised sports offers a chance for the youth to showcase their skills and enhance physical fitness apart from inculcating various qualities like team spirit and sportsmanship.
In order to encourage the youth to take part in sports activities and to provide them a platform, the Army commenced the Boniyar Football Premier League at Higher Secondary School, Boniyar from 13th October 2018 in which eight teams from the region are participating and the matches are being played on a knock out basis.
The inaugural match was played between Shining Stars, Boniyar and NI Memorial, Hiller which was won by the Shining Stars with a score of 5-0. The event received an overwhelming response from the local populace especially the youth and will go a long way to further enhance the sporting skills of the youth.
