| Traffic Police Jammu launches anti-overloading drive | |
Jammu, October 13 (Scoop News)-In a bid to overcome overloading in passenger vehicles and ensure safety of passengers, Traffic Police Rural Jammu has launched punitive legal procedure to registrar FIR against the drivers, who facilitate the overloading in their passenger vehicles and put their life in danger.
During the exercise,12 FIR in different Police Station of Samba, Kathua, Poonch & Rajouri are filed and drivers were booked and action warranted under law have been initiated in order to deter the overloading in passenger vehicles.
Mushtaq Choudhary, SP Traffic Rural Jammu, has appealed the general public that they should not board in the overloaded passenger vehicles and inform the concerned Traffic Authority if any passenger vehicle found indulging in overloading.
The general public is also advised to strictly follow traffic rules and be a part of smooth traffic regulation for their own safety. Further, it is reiterated that violators shall be dealt strictly in case of non-adherence to the traffic rules.
