Manasbal Warriors trounce Super Challengers to lift trophy in Chinar Volleyball Premier League
half a dozen teams participate in tournament


Kolapora, October 12, (Scoop News)-To wean away youth from drugs and other vices, the successive governments in the state promoted sports culture to provide an opportunity to them to project their talent.
In this regard, a 10 day Chinar Volleyball Premier League was conducted by army which drew to a close on Thursday and teams from Manasbal, Qazigund, Drugmualla, Tangdhar, Badgam and Seer were associated with the tournament, said a statement issued on Friday.
According to the statement ‘Manasbal Warriors’ won the final match and lifted the trophy by trouncing ‘Super Challengers’.
Speaking on the occasion, Corps Commander Chinar Corps, Lt Gen AK Bhatt, felicitated the winners who played the game professionally and performed well during the tournament. He admired the efforts put in by all players.
Gen Bhatt advised youth to actively participate in various sports competitions for which the army, state administration and civil society have joined hands to create a conducive atmosphere in the valley.
