| Mirwaiz to deliver sermon on Ashoora, pay tributes to Imam Hussain and martyrs of Karbala at Alam Seb | | between 3,30 pm and Asar prayers on Friday |
Srinagar, September 20, (Scoop News)-APHC leader and Mutahida Majlis-e-Ulema (MMU) head Mirwaiz Umar Farooq paid glorious tributes to the martyrs of Karbala Hazrat Imam Hussain, his family and companions, stating that their great sacrifice infused new life and meaning into understanding Islam .
He said that despite being far less in number, up against a mighty enemy , Imam Hussain fought courageously with faith and conviction along with his companions till his last breath, to uphold the great principles of Islam which he stood by.
Mirwaiz said that Imam Hussain refused to surrender before falsehood and deceit and instead fought for truth and righteousness. He preferred to sacrifice his life in the desert of Karbala but did not give in to it ,setting a great example for all of Muslim umma to emulate and follow.
APHC leader said that the best tribute to Imam Hussain and the valiant martyrs of Karbala is to keep their legacy of defending the truth and Haq alive ,at all costs.
He said Islam teaches us never to surrender or bow before evil and injustice but instead fight to defend the right cause.
Mirwaiz said for us the people of J&K struggling for the just cause , the sacrifice of Imam Hussain carries a special message ;it tells us to stand firm and struggle in unison to achieve our just goal and have faith in almighty Allah’s benevolence.
Meanwhile Mirwaiz will deliver a sermon on the occasion of Ashoora and pay tributes to Iman Hussain and and martyrs of Karbala at Alam Seb ,Narwara on Friday, September 21st from 3.30 to Asr prayers.
