Vomedh stages 8th episode of Terrace Theatre at Muthi
Ek Koshish Ek Ehsaas marks Vomedh's 8th episode of Terrace Theatre


Jammu, September 10 (Scoop News)-Vomedh group under the able guidence of programme director Rohit Bhat added a new dimension to its ongoing "Open Air Fortnight Terrace Theatre" series at a terrace in Muthi. Hosted by Sh J.K.Raina and Mrs Kiran Raina (Principal Abhay Higher Srcondary School). H.No. 8, Abhay Lane, Muthi, to continue its mission of taking meaningful theatre to peoples door steps literally and staged "Ek Koshish Ek Ehsaas" play in Hindi, Written by Dazy Bazaz and directed by Bharti Kaul. The story unfolds in an office where Anil is an ardent employee on whose shoulders the "boss" entrusts the most important files of the company. His colleuge and friend Ayush is a drug peddler who is always on the lookout for soft targets. One fateful day Ayush manages to initiate Anil into hard drinks on the plea to ease off the work pressure. Anil looses control over his senses. He goes home in drunken state. He bad mouths his wife varsha, maltreats her, shouts at the top of his voice unmindful of his son's presence in the house. His son Rinku is Class X11 student. Who has been awoken by the shouting of his parents. He is a sensitive boy. He is unable to cope up with the pandamonium at home between parents hence cannot concentrate on studies. Like his father Rinku falls in the hands of drug peddlers. Versha tries hard to restrain her husband on one hand and her son on the other hand. She literally breaks down when she receives a phone call from Anil's boss that his services have been terminated as he is not maintaining office decorum also not coming to office. Varsha in her dazed state of mind also comes to know by a chance meeting with Rinku's teacher, who tells her that Rinku is not coming to school as he has lost concentration and will for. studies. Its complete chaos for her when she doesnt find Rinku at home. She apprehends that something has gone wrong. She calls Rinku's tution sir and comes to know that he does not attend his tutions too. She runs out of house looking for Rinku but is told by a neighbour that Rinku is in old ruins in the company of drug addicts. Neighbour takes her to the place where she finds Rinku has fallen victim to overdose of drugs and doctor declares him dead. Varsha too scumms to the tragedy of her dead son. Neighbour brings Anil to the scene of tragedy. He gets jolted out of his drunken state at the sight of his beloved wife and his only son dead in each others arms. Anil repents and curses himself for not listening to his wife's warnings and not caring for his son's sensitivity. " Ek koshish" by Varsha and "Ek Ahsaas" Anil comes to at the cost of his dead family is all about the evils of drug abuse and a warning to parents to be cautious about their siblings surroundings.


Vomedh is a group of dedicated Writer,Director and Actors who take up the challanges with great zeal and enthusiasm. One such example all have seen in "Ek Koshish Ek Ehsaas" the character Rinku (Rajat Sharma) is a "Special Child" who is obsessed with the thought of making it to Film Industry. He is acting for the first time in this play. Director Rohit Bhat took him into his fold and he has been accepted by one and all group members of Vomedh.

The neighbours and theatre lovers assembled and watched the full on meaningful play enacted beautifully by Varsha Pandita, Anil Langey, Rajat Sharma (special child) Ayush, Umar, Chaya Pandita, Dazy Bazaz and Vinay Sharma.

The Terrace Theatre Series are catching fast and are appreciated for the revival of good old days. To free themselves from the addiction of social media people prefer to be relaxing in humanistic and culture oriented surroundings.
