Vibodh appeals to declare 16 August as National Peace Day in memory of Atal ji


Rajouri,August 17 (Scoop News)-The entire nation is saddened and shocked by the desmise of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpyee. In order to pay homage to former Prime Minister, BJP Rajouri city unit conceived a condolence assembly and paid rich tribute to the nobel soul at Dak Bungalow Rajouri. Expressing pain and solidarity, MLC Vibodh Gupta said that " Atal Bihari Vajpyee shall always continue to live in the heart of every Indian". His speeches, poems and legacy is a rich encyclopedia for Indian leaders and scholars about "how to govern the country", he added. MLC recalled speech given by him at Governor's House in Lahore, poem recited by him there "Jang nhi hone denge" and appealed government to declare 16 August as National Peace Day in his memory. He said " Atalji made only friends and had no adversary. MLC said "he was a leader with great conviction and delivered his stand with utmost courage". Even under averse conditions and international pressure Atal ji firmly took his stand and conducted five Nuclear Test in Pokhram in 1998, MLC stated.

Speaking on the condolence assembly Ex- Vice Chairman, state advisory board for dev. of PSP Sh. Kuldeep Raj Gupta said "Atal ji was a great leader and always advocated peace as the only viable solution to Kashmir's issue". He said nation will always remember him as a expert diplomat, courageous leader and great poet. Atal ji was a epitome of peace, development, security and humanity, he added.


District Rajouri BJP President Dinesh Sharma also expressed sorrow and said that the nation is gripped with sadness in the wake of Atal Ji death. He said such humble leaders born once in a century and continue to inspire the future genrations for centuries. City President Vacky Dutt said " With the death of Atal ji an era came to an end and is an irreplaceable loss to the nation in general and for J&K in particular".
