37 employees found absent in Baramulla & Kupwara

Baramulla, June 23, (Scoop News)- Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Farooq Ahmad Baba accompanied by ACR Bashir Ahmad Bhat and Tehsildar Baramulla today inspected various government offices during which 17 employees of different departments were found unauthorisedly absent from their duties.
Taking a serious note of it, the ADC recommends the absentees to the concerned authorities for initiating necessary legal action.
On the occasion, the ADC said that similar inspections shall be conducted on a routine basis so that the punctuality of employees is ensured.



In order to improve the work culture and punctuality in the Government offices, Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir constituted a team of officers to check attendance of employees in the district on regular basis.
In this connection, ACR Kupwara and Tehsildar Kupwara today paid a surprise visit to many offices including Chief Medical Office Kupwara, Block Medical Office Kupwara, Exen PHE Kupwara, Exen I&FC Kupwara, Block Development Office Kupwara and office of REW Kupwara to check attendance of employees.
During the perusal of attendance register, 20 employees of the said offices were found unauthorisedly absent from their duties and were placed under suspension.
The ACR directed the concerned to deduct one day's salary for absence from duties of the said employees and credit the same to the account of District Red Cross Society.
Meanwhile, DC Kupwara said that strict action as per the law should be initiated against the employees found unauthorisedly absent from their duties.
