New Delhi, May 16, (Scoop News)-Centre asks security forces not to launch operations in Jammu and Kashmir during Ramzan said spokesman of MHA.

He said that decision not to launch operations taken to help peace loving Muslims observe Ramzan in peaceful environment.


Union Home Minister has informed the chief minister of J-K of Centre’s decision to halt security operations during Ramzan.

Security forces reserve the right to retaliate if attacked or if essential to protect the lives of innocent people says MHA.



Dy CM welcomes Centre’s decision regarding truce during Ramadan in JK
Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta has welcomed the decision of the Centre for maintaining truce during the holy month of Ramadan in Jammu and Kashmir.
Describing the initiative as a significant gesture, the Deputy Chief Minister has said that the decision will go a long way in restoring peace in the State. He has also hoped that all peace loving forces will take advantage of the opportunity provided by the Centre and help in maintaining lasting peace in Jammu and Kashmir, which is must for the overall development and prosperity of the State, said Mr. Gupta.
