District status to Nowshehra, Kalakote, Sunderbani not demand but need of hour: Mankotia


Rajouri, March 19, (Scoop News)-Supporting the agitation launched by people , ex-MLA and NPP state president Balwant Singh Mankotia reiterated that district status to Nowshehra, Kalakote and Sunderbani is not a demand but need of the hour as these highly populated and vast area requires district status to meet daily challenges. He claimed that people of this border belt are suffering and time has come to fulfill the aspirations of these agitating people.

Addressing workers on the occasion of celebration of party foundation day at Rajouri, ex-MLA and NPP president Balwant Singh Mankotia said keeping in view the aspirations of people, Jammu and Kashmir National Panther Party on 23 March 1982 came to existence and now first time party is celebrating its foundation day at all districts of Jammu province to spread the message of party at every door step.

Supporting the agitation launched by people of Nowshera, Kalakote and Sunderbani for the demand of district status and holding protest dharna, NPP president Balwant Singh Mankotia blamed that PDP-BJP coalition government has become mute spectator and didn’t addressing the genuine issue of people.

Mankotia claimed that area of Jammu province has spread over 28thousand square mile while area of Kashmir is 13 thousand square mile and despite having double area then Kashmir, ten districts were given to Jammu region and keeping in view the area of this region, ten more districts should be formed so that Nowshehra, Kalakote and Sunderbani can get district status.

Making a scathing attack on BJP-PDP coalition govt., Mankotia blamed that govt is acquiring land forcefully from farmers to construct court complex at Muradpur which is totally condemnable. He warned the govt that if forcefully acquiring of farmers land should not be stopped otherwise party would seek legal help to seek justice of farmers. On this occasion Mohammad Mushtaq Choudhary, Secretary Shankar Chib also address the gathering.
