Jammu, November 16, (Scoop News)- VC for Cluster University, Prof. Anju Bhasin inaugurated the super-exciting activity called Mirchi AGENT983 in city’s top colleges on 16th November. Mirchi 98.3 is the most youthful radio station in the city and with it’s activities in city’s top colleges, it plans to shake things up in Jammu. Stating that the city needs infotainment desperately, the VC expressed that “College Clubs and Societies where students get to explore their inner self like culture, sports, literarature, fine arts, theatre etc. are the need of the hour which not only provide them avenues to develop well rounded personalities, but also helps them build confidence. This kind of exposure and interactivity makes them a better and responsible citizen .And they undoubtedly are the future of the state, so we being the faculty and administration have a greater responsibility towards them”
Mirchi RJs , Mirchi Nishant who hosts the Mirchi’s evening drive and Mirchi Nikki who is the RJ for late afternoon show , were the host of the show at MAM college. The event started at 12 30 pm and was opened by Heritage-Strings, School of Rock and was closed by Iqbal Singh and Mirchi Saransh from Mirchi. The event was such a crowd puller and so electrifying that the audience was unwilling to let the RJs leave the venue after the event.
Mirchi 98.3 has decided to initiate this activity to bring out the talents in students in a fun and mirchidaar way. One ‘Agent’ will be recruited from each of the top colleges of the city who will have free access to Mirchi activities/events and to celebrities who visit the studio. The same agent will be a superstar of the college and will also represent the college to let Jammu know about its achievements and laurels. The Agent will be eligible to visit regional concerts with his/her gang of friends and it is almost certain that his/her life will not be the same after this!
Speaking on the occasion, Dean of Student Welfare, CU, Twinkle Suri, commented that “Students should realise that College is not the end of the world and that they need to be prepared for the world outside, being consciously and judiciously using internet, and relaxing at the same. They should know that discipline is the key, even in entertainment and that hard – work pays, always.”
