| Army,JKP organizes its first ever Cricket Premier League in Hajan | |
Srinagar, November 16, (Scoop News)- In order to provide an opportunity to the budding cricketers of the valley, Army in coordination with JKP organised its first ever Cricket Premier League in Hajan from 06 Nov 17 till 15 Nov 17. A total of 16 teams from Sonawari participated in the tournament.
Finals were played between Team Hajan A and Team Behrabad. Hajan A scored a splendid 171 runs and went ahead to win the tournament by a whopping 102 runs. Rashid Ah Mir was adjudged the Man of the Match for taking 4 wickets and scoring 40 runs. Furkan Ahmed of Team Hajan B was awarded the Man of the series for scoring a total of 180 runs and taking 03 wickets in the league.
Hajan Premier League provided a fabulous opportunity to the local youth to participate and inculcate a spirit of competitiveness. All the teams played with a lot of passion and heart. The locals have appreciated and requested for conduct of more such events.
