| Rajouri Adm clarifies news regarding repair of Chamba-Paryali road by locals | |
Rajouri, July 24, (Scoop News)- District Administration Rajouri today clarified a news being circulated on social networking sites regarding repair of Chamba-Paryali road in Rajouri Sub-Division by locals.
In the said piece of news circulated on WhatsApp news groups, it was claimed that local residents have started repair of said road and put stones and clay to restore proper management due to delay on part of PWD.
However, it has been ascertained from PWD authorities that work for providing and laying WBM Gr-IIIrd in patches, clearance of drain on road from Chamba to Paryali in KM 1st RD to 02 KM 5th RD 1000 has already been allotted in favour of a contractor namely Zaffar Ahmad Vide No. EER/R&B/6/2017-18/4556-61 Dated: 22-07-2017.
The contractor has been instructed to immediately start the work which shall be completed within a period of one month. A spokesperson of District Administration while clarifying the reports being circulated on social networking sites has appealed to media persons administering such groups to take official version as and when such claims are disseminated in the social, print and electronic media.
District Administration has taken serious note of a unique pattern of protests organized by some vested interests whenever some works were about to be started by the executing agencies.
Pertinently, few weeks ago, some miscreants had stopped the blacktopping of Rajouri-Darhal road whereas to gain political mileage some other vested interests had staged a protest for construction of Androla bridge after allotment process was completed.
