IMPA organizes three days training course on planning at Leh

Leh, July 21, (Scoop News)-The Executive Councilor for Works Dorjey Motup chaired the valedictory function of the three days training course on planning and implementation of Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojna ( SAGY) for all the HODs and associated staffs of 14 line departments of Leh district at DC Conference Hall today. The training programme was organized by Centre for Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Jammu and Kashmir Institute of Management, Public Administration & rural Development & Rural Development J&K in collaboration with District Administration Leh.
Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojna is a rural development programme broadly focusing upon the development in the villages which includes social development, cultural development and spread motivation among the people on social mobilization of the village community. The programme was launched by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi on the birth anniversary of Jayaprakash Naravan on 11 October 2014.
Addressing the programme EC Dojey Motup on behalf of LAHDC Leh welcomed and thanked expert trainers from IMPA for organizing such an important training at Leh and expressed hope that such training will help a lot in making Hanu village a real model village. He added that such training will not only increase the efficacy of officers but will ultimately benefit people at large and pressed on serious implementation of the scheme.
Meanwhile, EC Motup expressed serious concern over the shortage of staffs in many key departments in Leh district which adds extra burden on implementing agencies in executing various schemes and programme. Later, EC Motup also distributed certificates among all the HODs and associated staffs who participated in the three day training.
Earlier, Course Team Head Dr. Mohd Ashraf briefing about the three days training in detail said that field visit of Hanu village was one of the important part of the training where all the officers of 14 line departments have observed the real need of the village as per the demand of the people.
