| Mirwaiz deputes delegation to convey condolence and solidarity with bereaved family of slain police officer, Ayoub A Pandit | |
Srinagar, June 24, (Scoop News)-APHC has condemned the alleged harassment and arrests during nocturnal raids on the residences of Hurriyat leaders and activists on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr.
All Parties Hurriyat Conference spokesman described it as vengeful and unethical. He has also strongly condemned the continuous house arrest of APHC leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq who was prevented from attending the congregation of Juma tul Vida at historic Jamia Masjid Srinagar which has been the practice of the Mirwaiz of the time for over a century.
The spokesman said it is for the first time in the recent history of Kashmir that Jamia Masjid was lock down on the occasion of Juma-tul-Vida and the devotees barred by the authorities through the use of force to attend the same.
The spokesman also condemned the arrest of JKLF leader Muhammad Yasin Malik and nocturnal raid on the residence of Hurriyat leader Ghulam Nabi Zaki and a number of other resistance activists.
Meanwhile, on the advice of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq a delegation of Hurriyat and AAC activists Saturday visited the bereaved family of DySP Ayoub Ahmad Pandit who was killed in a lynching incident outside Jamia Masjid Srinagar during Shab-e-Qadar.
The delegation led by Muhammad Shafi Khan and Advocate Yasir Dalal conveyed grief and sorrow on the tragic death of DySP Ayoub Ahmad Pandit to the bereaved family.They conveyed to them that Mirwaiz and the Hurriyat Conference condemn this inhuman act and added that brutality of every sort is condemnable and unacceptable.
