| Ajaz Jan expresses concern over LOC shelling | |
Poonch, June 24, (Scoop News)- Provincial President Youth National Conference Mr. Ajaz Jan on Saturday expressed grave concern over the plight of border residents due to massive shelling from across the border, saying they have been left in lurch by the PDP-BJP dispensation as no governmental representative have visited the sufferers.
Mr. Jan said that the shelling has cost colossal damage in forward areas of Kami, Qosba, Guntrya, Mandhar Shapur, Degwar, Khari Karmara, Maldaliya,Degwar Terwa and Dera Bagal and the people are feeling terribly scared.
The Provincial President regretted that the present Government has not taken any initiative about creating bunkers or shelter sheds for safe lodging of the border sufferers in the event of exigencies. He said the Administration lack proper wherewithal to meet the challenges in the wake of shelling and at times the injured are not able to reach hospitals for timely medical attention.
In a statement Mr. Jan urged the state government and the district administration to realize its responsibilities and take all necessary measure to face challenges unfolded by frequent border shelling.
