Govt committed to work for peace, confidence building: Abdul Haq
Minister seeks people’s cooperation for JK’s development, prosperity

Jammu, April 25, (Scoop News)- Minister for Rural Development Panchayati Raj, Law and Justice Abdul Haq today said the state government lead by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is committed to work for resolution of the problems and ensuring peace in the state.
The Minister said this while laying foundation of a road in Lolab Valley. He also toured various parts of the Lolab valley and interacted with the locals.
The Minister said the government is committed to work for resolution of all the issues and grievances. He sought public support for providing a conducive atmosphere for continuing the ongoing developmental works in the State.
Earlier, the Minister laid foundation stone of a road in Lolab which is being constructed at a cost of Rs 1.26 crore. On the demand of people, Minister assured the construction of 2 KM road at Warnov.
He said the government is alive to the public demands and necessary measures are already afoot to upgrade basic amenities and ensure prompt public service delivery. He said wherever necessary additional focus would be laid to address the people’s demands on priority.
Abdul Haq said the Rural Development department has set on a journey to bridge the socio-economic gap by constructing roads and bridges under MGNREGA which will not only serve the purpose of employment generation but will also create useful assets for the rural population.
He urged the people to act as eyes and ears of the Government by keeping watch on the works taken up by the Government. Abdul Haq said he has asked his officers to interact with people regularly and take their demands into consideration before making any developmental plan.
