Sajjad Shaheen slams PDP-BJP for governance deficit


Banihal April 25, (Scoop News)-National Conference District President Mr Sajjad Shaheen on Tuesday slammed PDP-BJP government for governance deficit, saying that the entire state, especially its remote areas were facing enormous difficulties on account of utility services and development.

Interacting with people of various areas, especially those from Pogal,Senabati,Neel,Ramsoo, Trigam,Mahu-Mangit, Mr Sajjad Shaheen said the condition of roads is highly dilapidated and restoration works are yet to be taken up as a result of which the people were suffering for power, drinking water and mobility of essentials. He said the condition of roads in Pogal, Panchal and Senbati is highly critical, and most of these have become death traps. He said many people get killed due to road mishaps as the concerned agencies were ignoring these in respect of maintenance and upgradation.

Mr Shaheen also criticized the CAPD Department for denying the consumers sugar quota for the past six months and failing in creating adequate buffer of stocks in far off areas.

He sought immediate release of compensation for the lands taken for construction of roads under PMGYS and posting of staff in various schools of the Banihal assembly constituency.

Mr Shaheen criticized the PDP for pushing development of remote areas in backburner.

Present among those on the occasion included Block Presidents Riyaz Ahmed Mir and Mohd Khalil Sohil ,Vice Block President Master Bahar Ahmed Naik, Mujib-Ur-Rehman Runyal Panch,Youth Block President Mohd Shahin Runyal.
