Election Observers review election arrangements at Ganderbal
Ganderbal, March 23, (Scoop News)-General Election Observer, Kamlesh Kumar Pant, and Security Observer, Anant Shankar Takwale, today visited the Ganderbal district and took a thorough review of preparations for smooth conduct of forthcoming bye-election to Srinagar Parliamentary seat.
District Election Officer, Ganderbal, Tariq Hussain Ganai, gave a power point presentation regarding poll preparations in the district. SSP Ganderbal was also present in the meeting
The Observers were informed that 1,64,457 voters, including 85836 males and 78469 female, in the district are entitled to cast their votes in the ensuing by-elections, for whom 208 polling stations, including 62 sensitive and 146 hyper-sensitive have been set up in the district.
The Observers also visited Nunar, Kangan and Manigam areas and inspected various polling stations.
