RRB at Kalakote provides drinking water facility to Songri Village
people appreciate army for installing facility



Songri, January 20, (Scoop News)-The Rashtriya Rifles Battalion based at Kalakote under the aegis of Reasi based Counter Insurgency Force Headquarter provided Songri village with drinking water facility by installation of 10,000 litre water storage tank as part of Op Sadbhavana.

Songri village of Rajouri district has been severely impacted by the non availability of drinking water in winters due to lack of water storage facility. The villagers had to travel longer distances to fetch water.

To provide succor to the people of region, Army has undertaken the project of providing potable water by constructing a large capacity tank for the storage of water at a central place in the village.

The 10,000 liter cemented tank has been connected to the water source. The villagers will no longer have to travel longer distances and will get water throughout the year.


The villagers expressed their gratitude towards the Army for providing such assistance for the benefit for the villagers. The local populace of Songri villagers appreciated the efforts of the Army for upliftment of the society and noble step taken by the Army.
