Diwali and Annual Urs Sharief arrangements reviewed at Kishtwar
Kishtwar, October 27, (Scoop News)- District Development Commissioner Kishtwar G N Balwan today convened a meeting to discuss the arrangements for smooth celebration of the Diwali and Urs Mubarak festivals in Kishtwar.
CPO Kishtwar Yasir Balwan, ACR Mohammad Sayed Khan, SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Wazir, Tehsildar Kishtwar Irshad Ahmed, AD CA&PD, XEN, PDD and PHE Kishtwar and other District and Sector Officer, Administrator Auqaf Islamia Kishtwar besides Member Sanatan Dharam Sabha also attend the meeting.
DDC directed XEN PHE Division Kishtwar to ensure availability of sufficient drinking water for Zayreen/ devotees at the shrines i.e Astan Bala and Astan Pani. PHE department was also asked to fill the reservoirs and also install tanks and temporary connections at required places.
He directed ADDC to constitute a contol room for the facilities of Devotees on the occasion, Exective Officer, Municipality was asked to install street lights and take up repair works wherever necessary so that the pilgrims may not face any difficulty and also asked to check the uniform approved price list of all the essential commodities in the town for the benefit of common consumers .
The DDC also directed CMO Kishtwar to provide medical facilities and also established two temporary camps one at Dak Banglow and other at Bus stand and also keep ambulances available, besides SSP Kishtwar was directed to deploy adequate number of security personals in both the shrines and in the Kishtwar town for security. ARTO Kishtwar and Manager JKSRTC Kishtwar were directed to ensure availability of adequate number of Buses and other Passenger vehicles for smooth to and fro movement of devotees during the Urs Mubarak.
DDC strictly directed that the fire cracker shall be sold only at the selected/identified place and asked the concerned for intensifying market vigil to keep a check on quality and prices of essentials .He also directed the fire and emergency services department to keep fire tenders ready to meet any eventuality while Assistant Director CA&PD Kishtwar was also asked to ensure availability of available ration and Sugar.
