AWWA distributes blankets and sleeping bags to children

Srinagar, October 26, (Scoop News)-Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) today distributed blankets and sleeping bags to the children to help them brace for the harsh Winters. Books and stationery were also given to the children in two orphanages in Srinagar.

Diwali, the festival of lights just a few days away, an Army initiative today has brought cheers and lit up the faces of over 150 beneficiary children in two orphanages in Srinagar.
After confirming the essential requirements from the Management of Markiz-Falahi-Itifal and Muskaan Foundation, the Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) spearheaded by its Zonal President Mrs Anuradha Dua, distributed blankets and sleeping bags to the children to help them brace for the harsh Winters. Books and stationery were also given to the children. Interacting with the children, Mrs Dua impressed upon them the importance of education and co-curricular activities for a well rounded personality. “It is always a pleasure to be amongst the children. Their Energy and disarming smiles are ever so inspiring and we wish them all the success in their chosen fields and life”, said the AWWA president praising the children for their fortitude.
