| DDC Pulwama convenes meeting of CEO, ZEOs, Principals, Headmasters | | Pulwama, September 28, (Scoop News)- District Development Commissioner Pulwama, Mr Munee-Ul-Islam today chaired a meeting of officers of Education Department to get first hand appraisal of functioning of educational institutions in the district
The Chief Education Officer and ZEOs apprised the District Development Commissioner about the status of the functioning of schools in the district.
The District Development Commissioner said, “The students have suffered a lot due to the on-going turmoil in the district and it’s high time to play our role to recompense the educational loss to the students.” He appreciated the work of the teachers who managed to attend their duties and imparted education to the students in their homes or private buildings.
The District Development Commissioner asked the Education Officers to build a close rapport with the parents to save precious time of the students and devise a suitable strategy to impart education to them. He said it was the moral obligation of the whole society to save future of students, adding that education was essential to withstand stiff competition in all walks of life.
The District Development Commissioner also took stock of the progress made on the construction of school buildings under RMSA & SSA and directed the CEO to get the work done within stipulated time so as to utilize cent per cent funds available under these schemes.
