| Education deptt organizes Kala Utsav Festival-2016 | | Ramban, September 28, (Scoop News)-The education department organized district level Kala Utsav Festival which was aimed at showcasing local music, art, culture and dance at Ramban here today.
The theme of the programme was Living Traditions of Tribal Folk and Traditional artists.
The student teams drawn from 16 High and Higher Secondary Schools participated in four arts viz; music, dance, theatre and visual arts.
During the competition, Government High School Bathni stood first in music while Government Higher Secondary School Ramban topped in dance. Similarly, Government High School Jatgali won in theatre items and Government Higher Secondary School Batote was declared winner for visual arts.
Pertinently, all the four top performer teams will have to represent the district at province level competition and thereafter the best teams of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh shall participate in state level Kala Utsav.
Further, the winning teams of four different arts shall represent J&K at national level Kala Utsav to be held from 11th to 15th November 2016 at New Delhi.
