| VC reviews implementation of Pahari scholarship | | Poonch , August 29(Scoop News)- Vice chairman of Pahari advisory Board Kuldip Raj Gupta today Hoisted National flag at Govt Girls Higher Secondary School Poonch (Sheesh Mehal) at an impressive function featuring pahari cultural program.
The cultural programme based on pahari dance and music was presented by local artists and children drawn from various local schools.
On the occasion, vice-chairman also honored the meritorious students who shined recently in a debate competition held at Shri Mata Devi University (SMVDU) . They were presented certificate of appreciation by the chief guest.
Later vice chairman chaired a meeting of district administration and heads of various educational institutions to review implementation of Pahari scholarship scheme in the district.
It was informed that out of it Rs 2.80 cr scholarship has been disbursed among First primary to plus two level Pahari students of the district so far.
The meeting also sought feedback from various school heads and the members of pahari board about the pace and status of disbursement.
