Bukhari directs officials to maintain proper revenue records
“Revenue department is mother of all departments”



Leh, August 27(Scoop News)- Minister for Revenue Relief and Rehabilitation J&K Syed Basharat Ahamad Bukhari convened a review meeting of Revenue department today evening at council Secretariat, Leh. The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Kul Bushan Khajuria, all district SDMs, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars and other revenue officials headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Leh Mouzes Kunzang.
The Minister discussed in detail about new administrative setup of Sub-Divisions, Tehsils and Niabats in the district, removal of illegal encroachments from state land, implementation of Public Service Guarantee (PSG) Act, submission of work done statements of revenue officers, status of Jamabandies, attestation of pending mutations, process of Settlement works, status of revenue court cases and judicial court cases with SDMs and Tehsildars, disbursement of status of land acquisition cases, disbursement of rental compensation, issuance of Adhaar cards, state land under occupation of Army and other security forces.
The Minister directed all the SDMs and Tsehsildars for speedy disposal the judicial cases within specific time period and also maintains proper records. Revenue department is mother of all departments and it is of paramount importance for judicious and timely disposal of cases of common people which sends across the message of our system and government. You must realize your responsibility and take call of your conscious to ensure transparent and quick disposal of cases,” added Mr. Bukhari. To clear illegal encroachment on state land the Minister directed the SDMs to use their Magistrate powers lawfully and try to streamline the land allotment system by stopping the present trend of mutation. He also directed the Tehsildar to submit work done statement to him through ADC, Leh.
The Minister directed the Additional Deputy Commissioner to issue proper appointment order to Nambardar for proper disbursement of honorarium. He said that the patwary is a custodian of land and base of revenue department and urged them to take their duties seriously, honestly and sincerely as they are the dealing agents with public. Highlighting the neglected and undeveloped state of Revenue Department, Mr. Bukhari said that he is putting his best efforts in streamlining the system and functioning of Revenue department in the entire state and gave assurance of full support and cooperation for any kind of development pertaining to revenue sector in Leh district.
Mouzes Kunzang expressed gratitude to the Minister for visiting Leh and assuring redressal of problems at village level and departmental level on priority.
