Govt will not tolerate terrorism in any form: Rajnath Singh | JK CM lashes out at Pakistan for instigating youths in Kashmir to take up arms |
Srinagar, July 24(Scoop News)-Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, who was on a two-day visit to the Valley to take stock of the situation on Sunday appealed to people of Kashmir to help restore peace and normalcy first. He also appeal to the youth to not resort to stone-pelting.Home Minister said that grievances, if any, of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, needed to be solved through talks. However, he made it clear that government will not tolerate terrorism in any form.
Talking to reporters in Srinagar Rajnath Singh said that Pakistan’s role is not pure towards Kashmir. It would have to change its attitude and approach towards Kashmir.He said that there is no need of any third force to improve situation in Kashmir.
Asked about the pellet guns, Mr. Singh said, "We will constitute an expert committee to find out ways to use of non-lethal weapon. The committee will submit report in two months".
Meanwhile chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today lashed out at Pakistan for "inciting and supporting" terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
After meeting with Union home minister while talking to reporters here Mehbooba Mufti lashed out at Pakistan for instigating youths in Kashmir to take up arms, saying it has to change its policy.
She said, when a Kashmiri child takes up gun, they call him leader and say he is doing good, but when their own children, some from madrassas etc take up gun, they attack them with drones and hang them in military courts. Mehbooba said, “I feel Pakistan, which is viewed by people of Kashmir with sympathy, has this time committed excess”. The Chief Minister said there is a need to take “bold measures to address the issue as the people of Jammu and Kashmir were our own”.
