Chairman, legislators speak on the obituary references
Mufti Sahib’s contribution historic
Srinagar, May 26 (Scoop News)-Describing late Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as one of the leading political stalwarts of the Indian Sub- continent, the Chairman Legislative Council, Haji Anayat Ali today said that the contribution rendered by the late leader is historic and would be remembered for years to come.
The Chairman further said that Sayeed worked tirelessly for the socio-economic upliftment of the State, besides ensuring political empowerment people. He said that Mufti Sahab was also a great philanthropist to the core.
While paying tributes to Late General K. V. Krishna Rao, Ex-Governor of J&K State, Ex-Speakers of Lok Sabha Balram Jakhar, and P. A. Sangma, Ex-Minister Choudhary Lal Mohammad Sabir, Ex-Minister Mohammad Khalil Jowhar, Ex-Minister Dr. Ramesh Chander Sharma, Ex-MLA Sehdev Singh and Ex-MLA Mohammad Maqbool Mohjoo, the Chairman said that their role in the socio-political circles is well known and will be remembered for times to come.
Paying glowing tributes to former Chief Minister late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Minister for Health and Medical Education, Bali Bhagat, said that he had dedicated his entire life for the development and political empowerment of the people of the State, besides ensuring that the benefit of various developmental initiatives reaches to the people. He said that Sayeed was the man of principles who never compromised on his ideology.
He also paid rich tributes to Late General K. V. Krishna Rao, Ex-Governor of J&K State, Ex-Speakers of Lok Sabha Balram Jakhar and Lok Sabha P. A. Sangma, Ex-Minister Choudhary Lal Mohammad Sabir, Ex-Minister Mohammad Khalil Jowhar, Ex-Minister Dr. Ramesh Chander Sharma, Ex-MLA Sehdev Singh and Ex-MLA Mohammad Maqbool Mohjoo and said that their contribution will be remembered for long.
The Deputy Chairman Legislative Council, Jehangir Hussain Mir, also paid rich tributes to the Late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and described him as a visionary leader whose political thought was ahead of the times.
Legislators, Ghulam Nabi Monga, Sajad Ahmad Kichloo, Ramesh Arora, Saifullah Bhat, Mohammad Muzaffar Parray, Zaffar Iqbal Manhas, Dr. Bashir Ahmad Shah (Veeri), Sham Lal Bhagat, Naresh Kumar Gupta, Ashok Khujaria, Ajatshatru Singh, Surinder Ambardar, Yashpal Sharma, Vibodh Gupta, Surinder Chaudhary, Sofi Yousuf, Charanjeet Singh Khalsa, Khursheed Aalam, Vikram Aditya Singh, Fridous Ahmad Tak and Dharam Veer Singh Obroi also paid rich tributes to Late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Late General K. V. Krishna Rao, Ex-Governor of J&K State, Ex-Speakers of Lok Sabha Late Balram Jakhar and late P. A. Sangma, Ex-Minister Late Choudhary Lal Mohammad Sabir, Ex-Minister Late Mohammad Khalil Jowhar, Ex-Minister Late Dr. Ramesh Chander Sharma, Ex-MLA late Sehdev Singh and Ex-MLA late Mohammad Maqbool Mohjoo and said that their contribution will be remembered for long. They said these leaders have played a significant role in strengthening democracy and democratic institutions in the State.
Later a two-minute silence was observed by the Council members in the memory of the deceased leaders to pray for their eternal peace.
