| Handwara Police recovered abducted girl from Himachal Pradesh | |
Srinagar, February 09 (Scoop News)-Handwara Police has recovered an abducted girl from Dalhousie Himachal Pradesh and also arrested the kidnapper.
On 5th of last month it was reported to police that a minor girl (name withheld) has been abducted by Dilawar Ahmad Sheikh son of Ali Mohammad Sheikh resident of Zachaldara. To this effect a case FIR number 07/16 was registered in Police Station Handwara and investigation was taken up.
During the investigation, several accomplices of Dilawar were arrested for their involvement in facilitating the kidnapping.
The investigating team headed by Sub Inspector Masroor Ahmad, after strenuous efforts got the information that the kidnapped girl has been taken outside the state in Dalhousie Himachal Pradesh.
Handwara Police in coordination with the state police of Himachal Pradesh arrested the accused along with the abducted girl. The girl has been later handed over to her relatives.
