DC Leh visits Chumur and other border villages of Changthang | |
Leh,November 27 (Scoop News)-On the last day of his 3-day tour to the border villages of Nyoma Sub-division, Deputy Commissioner Leh Prasanna Ramaswamy G accompanied by SDM Nyoma Tsering Motup and others yesterday visited the last border village of Chumur, situated at an altitude of about 15,000 feet above sea level near China border.
DC Ramaswamy distributed cash amount of Rs. 5,15,800 as relief to the 5 (five) flood affected families of August, 2015. While interacting with the villagers, they kept their demands of electrification, clean drinking water facility and health related facilities to be provided at their village. Giving a patient hearing to all their demands, DC Leh assured them of early redress of their demands and gave directions to the SDM Nyoma for preparation of a proposal of all their demands.
On his way back, DC Ramaswamy also visited the Lan-tsam-nyag area of the Tibetan Refugee Settlement and listened to their demands for installation of hand-pumps and tents.
Later, on the directions of DC Leh, SDM Nyoma Tsering Motup visited Korzok/Tega-zong villages and distributed cash amount of Rs. 3,48,000 to 17 flood affected families of August, 2015. ... |
