| Present regime hell-bent to destroy future of youth: NC Provincial Spokesperson | |
Srinagar, September 3 (Scoop News)- National Conference Thursday expressed disappointment over the continuous indifference of PDP-BJP government over the regularization of around 6000 National Youth Corps employed in 2010.
A delegation of NC and YNC office bearers led by Sr. Vice President J&K National Conference Muhammad Syed Akhoon accompanied by District President Srinagar Peer Afaq visited the protesting NYCs at Partap Park Srinagar and as a mark of solidarity joined the sit-in.
In a press statement issued from Party HQ, Provincial Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar, who was part of the delegation said, “Unfortunately the present regime has taken it upon themselves to destroy all the youth centric initiatives Omar led government had taken. Rather than implementing the cabinet decisions of previous govt, PDP-BJP govt are playing dilly dally tactics by issuing confusing statements.”
From the last three days, around 20 NYCs who are on a indefinite hunger strike have been hospitalized. “Both PDP and BJP had promised a change prior to elections and their primary target was youth. Now after assuming power youth seems to be missing from their scheme of things. Leave alone the implementation of cabinet decision regarding regularization of NYC, the govt has made no effort to come and listen to the genuine grievance of the protesting youth which includes a large number of women,” said Imran adding, “It is a shame that no representative from the govt has visited NYCs from the last three days thereby clearly showing the ineptness of the present regime in addressing the problems of youth.”
