| Rajouri admn finalizes arrangements for Budha Amarnath Yatra | | Rajouri, July 27 (Scoop News)- The district administration reviewed and finalized arrangements for Budha Amarnath Yatra commencing from 19thAugust 2015 in an officers meeting held here today.
The meeting had detailed deliberation on various issues for smooth and successful conduct of Yatra.
All the officers were asked to ensure that arrangements relating to their respective departments are put in place well in time.
Arrangements like adequate supply of drinking water, cleanliness of the venue, construction of temporary sheds for community kitchens, ration, and LPG supply, security arrangements, maintenance of road, medical facilities etc were deliberated upon in detail and the concerned officers were asked to ensure all these facilities well before commencement of the yatra.
As thousands of Yatris are expected to visit Budha Amarnath from various parts of the State, the Handicrafts, Handlooms and Agriculture departments, have been asked to put up stalls of local items on display so as to promote local production.
Chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Mr. Mumtaz Chowdhary, the meeting was attended by Additional Superintendent of Police, Rajouri, Taginder Singh and other officers.
