Visiting SLAF Commander, Air Marshal Bulathsinghala calls on his Indian counterpart | ACM Raha, likely to visit several IAF installations |
New Delhi, July 27, (Scoop News)-Commander of the Sri Lankan Air Force (SLAF) Air Marshal Gagan Pulasthi Bulathsinghala called on the Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee and Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha on Monday, a senior defence official said.
During their meeting, the Air Chiefs discussed matters of mutual interest aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two Air Forces, he added. The official said during his official four-day visit, Air Marshal Bulathsinghala is expected to visit the Officers' Training Academy at Gaya, the Institute of Aerospace Medicine at Bangalore and Air Force Station Jalahalli. "He would be interacting with the personnel of the Sri Lankan Air Force (SLAF) who are undergoing training at these establishments", the official disclosed, adding earlier on Sunday, the Sri Lankan Air Force (SLAF) Chief had visited the National Defence College at New Delhi, of which he is an alumnus.
"The visit is aimed at fostering goodwill and is a part of the ongoing process towards enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries", he maintained.
