AIIMS Coordination Committee’s agitation politically motivated:Munish

Jammu, July 27 (Scoop News)-BJP State General Secretary Munish Sharma has said that the agitation launched by the AIIMS Coordination Committee is politically motivated, particularly when the central and state leaders of Bhartiya Janta Party including Dr. Jitendra Singh, MoS PMO, Science, Information and Technology and Dr. Nirmal Singh, Deputy CM of J&K State have publically promised that Govt. of India is committed to establish AIIMs in Jammu and the announcement in this regards shall be made very shortly.

In a press statement he said that persons behind the agitation belong to those parties who have been instrumental in inflicting discrimination to the people of Jammu Region. It is because of their polices that people of Jammu have been suffering and discriminated in all walks of life. The Central University was sanctioned for Jammu Region and later on it was shifted to Kashmir in connivance with the Congress Party. It was because of their policies that Jammu Region which have been contributing about 70% in the state revenue but expenditure on its development was merely 30% of the state budget. It was their contribution that Jammu region got merely 20% of employee in Civil Secretariat and 30% in overall State services.
Panther Party which is critical of BJP for sharing power in the State with PDP has been participant in the State Govt. headed by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed in 2002-2005. At that time it remained quite silent on the issues confronting the People of Jammu Region. Munish Sharma appealed to the coordination committee to suspend its agitation for some time and do not put the people of Jammu Region and Yatries to inconveniences particularly when the Shree Amarnath Yatra is in progress. It should not become tool in the hands of politically motivated people and should not disturb the peace and tranquillity prevailing to Jammu Region.
