DC reviews arrangements for Machail, Sarthal Yatra, Eid-ul-Fitr
Kishtwar, July 06 (Scoop News)-In view of forthcoming annual Machail and Sarthal Yatra and Eid- ul- Fitr festival, Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar, Mohammad Javaid Khan today convened a meeting of district officers to review arrangements to be put in place for smooth and peaceful conduct of these auspicious occasions.
Representatives of Sanatan Dharam Sabha Kishtwar, Sarva Shakti Sevak Sanstha Kishtwar, Auqaf Islamia Kishtwar and Dhamarth Trust Sarthal Kishtwar were also present in the meeting.
The DC impressed upon all the officers to ensure that all necessary arrangements well in time for smooth conduct of yatras and Eid-ul-fitr.
The DC directed XEN PWD to ensure renovation of road for hassle free journey of the pilgrims. He also directed the concerned officers to ensure sufficient drinking water supply, security deployment, medicare, ration, transport, repairing of high mass lights and power supply.
To deal with any sort of emergency, Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to identify the places which could be used for airlifting of patients in case of any medical emergency during the yatra. He said that a Yatra Officer will be nominated to coordinate with the line departments for hassle free conduct of yatra.
While discussing arrangements for annual Machail Yatra 2015, DC directed OC GREF to mobilise their men and machinery to ensure that the road is kept open during the yatra besides ensuring availability of sufficient machinery at the land slide prone spots to keep the route open round the clock. He asked ARTO, Manager JKSRTC Kishtwar and Manager general Bus Stand Kishtwar to deploy adequate number of passenger vehicles for the devotees.
Khan directed ARTO Kishtwar, ASP Kishtwar and AEE Mechanical Division Kishtwar to conduct technical fitness inspection of all the passenger vehicles in the district within a week’s time positively.
It was revealed in the meeting that Annual Sartha Devi Ji Yatra will commence on 24th of July 2015 while as Annual Machail Yatra will commence on 1st of August 2015 . The issues of temporary toilets, fire tenders, publicity of yatra, cleanliness and sanitation, QRT’s deployment, security, medicare, drinking water, accommodation of devotees were also deliberated upon in the meeting.
DC also reviewed arrangements for Eid-ul-Fitr and Independence Day 2015 and instructed the concerned departments to make coordinated efforts for smooth conduct of these events.
