| SRTC to ply more luxury tourist buses in JK: Kohli | | Srinagar, July 06 (Scoop News)-Minister for Transport, Abdul Gani Kohli Monday underscored the need for rolling out more luxury tourist buses by SRTC in J&K.
Chairing a meeting here, the Minister said that it is high time that modern and comfortable luxury buses are introduced in the state for both tourists as well as local passengers. He called for constituting a committee in this regard so that SRTC is provided with these buses at the earliest.
While reiterating the commitment of the government to provide every type of facility to the tourists, the Minister said that providing comfortable transport service to the tourists will be a worthy step in this direction.
Meanwhile, during the meeting, the Minister was also briefed about the various types of good and comfortable luxury buses available in the market.
Secretary Transport, Transport Commissioner, IGP Traffic, and other senior officers were present in the meeting.
Later, a delegation of SRTC Workers Union also met the Transport Minister and apprised him about various issues for his consideration. He assured them that these will be addressed at the earliest.
