ASRA brings hope for unemployed Kashmiri youth

Srinagar,March 28 (Scoop News)- A noble Project named “Aasra” has been initiated under the aegis of Chinar Corps to facilitate employment of youth of the valley. Large number of educated youth in the valley remain unemployed due to lack of job opportunities in the valley. Indian Army realised this fact and took initiative to start the employment facilitation centre to help unemployed youth of Kashmir valley to gain employment.

Recently through Aasra Centre 10 unemployed youth of District Baramulla were selected by Safe Express, a logistics company for free skill development training at Indore followed by assured job in the company. Maj Gen Raj Shukla, GOC of Baramulla based Frontier Army Division interacted with the youth on 27 March 2015 and motivated them to carve a niche for themselves. This initiative has brought great reprieve to the Parents and youth of the area as the Centre will guide and channelize them to the opportunities to.
This is part of the initiatives of Chinar Corps to empower the youth through education, employment, capacity building, skill development and entrepreneurship.
