| Kishtwar lacks development and education setup is defunct: Dawood | |
Kishtwar, March 28 (Scoop News)- Dawood Bashir, Youth Congress leader Kishtwar demanded engineering college for Kishtwar so that the thousands of poor students doesn't suffer anymore. He said that for higher education students of kishtwar needs to go outside the state which is impossible for the poor students thereby compelling them to leave the studies and at the same time he also projected the demand of medical college as kishtwar is the hilly, third largest district and accidents have become routine matter here medical college is the need of the hour and for minor surgery or specialised treatment patients are refered to GMC Jammu resulting into death of hundreds of patients enroute, treatment in Jammu becomes hectic and costly matter for economically weaker section of kishtwar.
He further demanded that more subject be introduced at Kishtwar college as Doda college was sanctioned in 1989,three year later still there are more subject combination. He demanded that BBA,BCA,history, geography etc be introduced at Kishtwar college.
Showing his anguish over the condition of Kishtwar campus, dawood said that there is no infrastructure, faculty at the Campus and the courses being offered at are of no use for kishtwari students because those subject doesn't exist at college level not even at higher secondary level.
He demanded that infrastructure, faculty be met at the earliest and MBA,MCA,PG in geography, history, Urdu, English, Sociology be atleast started in the Campus and coursed which are being offered must be introduced at college level also so that local students may take some advantage from the Campus.
