| Sukhnandan inaugurates Lawyers Annual Sports Meet 2015, Cricket Tournament | | Assures to redress their demands on priority |  Jammu, March 27 (Scoop News)- The Minister for PHE and I&FC, Mr Sukhnandan Kumar today inaugurated the “Lawyers Annual Sports Meet 2015” Cricket Tournament organised by J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu at Jammu University Ground.
The Minister was also chief guest on the occasion.
The 10-day Cricket Tournament started here today in which 12 teams of Lawyers are participating in 4 pools, each pool contains 3 teams. Top two teams shall go to the next round of quarter finals.
On the occasion, Minister appreciated the efforts of association for organising such tournament.
Earlier, The Minister met the players of both the teams and wished them best performance in the tournament. The inaugural match of the tournament was played between the Strikers-11 and Fire -11. Strikers-11 won the toss and elected bat.
President of Bar Association, Abhinav Sharma put forth their demands before the Minister which include allotment of funds to the Bar Association Jammu, upgradation of infrastructure for lawyers besides other demands.
The Minister assured them to redress their demands on priority.
To facilitate the problem of clean drinking water of Lawyers, the Minister announced two RO fitted water coolers for District Court Complex, Jammu.
Among others, Senior Advocates, D C Raina, U K Jalali, K K Malhotra, Sunil Sethi, a large number Lawyers and sports lovers were present on the occasion.
