| 9047 applications under Roshni pending in Kathua: Javaid | | Jammu, March 27 (Scoop News)-Minister for Revenue, Javaid Mustafa Mir informed the House that under Roshni Act, 9047 applications are pending disposal in district Kathua.
Replying to a question by Rajiv Jasrotia in LA here today, the Minister said the process of implementation of J&K State Lands (Vesting of Ownership to the Occupants) Act 2001 (Roshni Scheme) has been put on hold in terms of the directions of the High Court in a public interest litigation titled S. K. Bhalla V/s State and others.
The Minister said there is no such proposal for considering the cases which could not be submitted within the prescribed time frame to the Government.
Legislators, Raja Manzoor, Ravinder Raina and Mohammad Khalil Band raised supplementaries to the main question.
