DDC reviews measures to check Swine Flu
Ganderbal, February 26, (Scoop News)- On the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Sarmad Hafeez an awareness campaign has been started throughout the district in collaboration with Health department to generate awareness among the public about the precautions to be taken to control the spread of Swine Flu. In this regard a series of awareness as well as information generating programs were conducted in the district.
Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal while addressing the capacity building awareness program for Teachers and Masters of the School Education department emphasized upon the need for Teachers of Education department to educate and sensitize school children about the do’s and don’ts and precautions that are required to be taken to prevent the spread of Swine Flu.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the aim of conducting such programs for teachers, Anganwari Workers and Panchayati Raj Institutions is to generate mass awareness among the public about measures to be taken to prevent spread of Swine Flu. The Health department made a detail presentation on the causes, treatment, and precautions of the Swine Flu and distributed pamphlets.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Chief Medical Officer Ganderbal, Chief Education Officer Ganderbal and all Zonal Education Officers.
