Passing marks not enough to compete in competitive world: Dr. Sonam

Leh,February 24, (Scoop News)-Scoring just passing marks is absolutely not enough to compete in this competitive world, the 10th and 12th class students must face the coming board exams with an aim to excel in every subject with good percentage. It was said by Executive Councilor for Health Dr. Sonam Wangcuk who was chief guest in the valedictory function of 40 days residential free- winter coaching for class 10th & 12th students of Tangtsey block at Eliezer Joldan Memorial College, Leh.

EC Dr. Sonam Wangchok addressing the function once reiterated that LAHDC Leh has right from the beginning, accorded a high priority to Education in the district. Along with academic studies moral education and physical education plays equal part in over all development of a student. Dr. Wangchok said.

Earlier, all the teaching and non teaching staffs were honoured by chief guest with traditional Khataks (scarf) amidst applause.

Guest of honour on the occasion EC Animal Gyurment Dojrey giving his best wishes to the students in the coming board exams thanked all the teaching and non teaching staffs headed by course coordinator Sonam Wangchok for successfully completing the 40 days coaching and hoped that their hard work will fetch very good results.

Speaking in tandem, Councilor Kungyam Dorjey Mutup, Councilor Chushul Namgyal Punchok and Councilor Durbuk Namgyal Dorjey also praised the tireless endavour of teaching and non teaching staffs for running this winter coaching to a meaningful conclusion and expressed their confidence that students will come up with flying results. Responding to the problems faced by students during the coaching, they said that they will try their best to solve such problems next year.

Chief Education Officer, Leh Tsewing Punchok and Dy. CEO, Leh Dechen Tsomo also encouraged students for facing the coming board exam confidently and remaining the words of Prime Minister Narendra Modhi they urged students to face the exams stress freely. They also highly appreciated and complemented Sonam Wangchok Course Coordinator for working day and night to make this coaching a grand success.

At the beginning of the programme, Course Coordinator Sonam Wangchok detailing about the 40 days coaching explained about the achievements and problems experienced by students during winter coaching.

At the intervals of speeches cultural programme was also presented by students.
