DDC reviews progress of ongoing health projects at Ramban
Ramban,December 20, (Scoop News)-A high level meeting of the health officers aimed for reviewing the delivery of health services and progress on health infrastructural works in the district was today convened at District Headquarters Ramban.
District Development Commissioner Farooq Shah Bukhari presided over the meeting, which was also attended by CPO, CMO Ramban, PO ICDS, Superintendent District Hospital, Incharge ISM and BMOs.
It was given out in the meeting that there are 23 health institutions which consist of one District Hospital, three CHCs, nine PHCs and ten ADs. In addition there are 23 Rogi Kalyan Samities (RKS) in the district. In the health sector 405 major and 5490 minor surgeries were performed in the district upto November 2014.
Under JSY as many as 532 mothers and 483 ASHAs were paid incentives upto November 2014. A total no. of 567 institutional deliveries were recorded during this year upto November 2014. CMO Ramban told that the no of home deliveries has considerably decreased since the previous year and he attributed this to the awareness created among the people in coordination with ASHAs and the administration.
Similarly under JSSK, 567 pregnant women were given medicines and consumables, which include 567 pregnant women having normal delivery in the govt health institutions. As many as 1138 pregnant women were provided free diagnostics, 417 were provided diet during delivery period in the health institutions, 503 were given free transport facility upto November 2014 in the district.
While reviewing the progress of work going on various health institutions at Chapnari, Chamalwas, Checknarwah, Gagarnag, Jhatgali, Chabba, Gagra, Mhakund, Sangaldhan, Residential Quarters at Batote and Banihal, Tranna, Khari, Batroo and Nowgam, DDC impressed upon all the concerned BMOs that the work on these institutions should complete by the end of July 2014.
DDC also asked the officers to pay attention towards the health of school going children and keep a close watch upon their health and nutrition. He directed the concerned for more coordinated efforts towards the completion of work on these health institutions and ensure that these institutions become models of sanitation in the district. He urged the officers to put their best efforts in dealing the sick people, besides completing all the ongoing works of this important sector on the targeted dates so that delivery of best services to the people especially the poor can be ensured.
